Agile, as a word, has gone through quite a journey. From novelty, to buzzword, to way of working to priority as the support from the organization continues to raise. For most of the teams it seems to be quite an understood way of working (even way of thinking for some), but everyone has their own flavor and recipe.
Waterfall way of working doesn't innovate for you. Lean-Agile way of working doesn't innovate for you either. What Waterfall & Lean-Agile should do is enable the innovation. Set the right environment, give the space, drive the culture of innovation. And it's not like Waterfall did not do that. It's only that, nowadays, Lean-Agile does it better.
“It’s not hard to be a Scrum Master. You just schedule some meetings in a calendar, send some invites, book some rooms, and create some reports. Most of them you don’t even create, Jira is doing that for you, so what’s the big idea with this role?”
Setting OKRs for the whole company boosts the value that you deliver to your customer and removes the handbrake of your Agile Delivery. Having a healthy OKRs organization is complementary to the Agile Delivery that you have in place, it's not redundant.
